  • Porcupine Traverse (4 peaks)

April 5, 2025 Awesome day summitting 4 peaks (list below) on the Porcupine Traverse in Kananaskis, AB. 1350m gain and about 15km distance. We broke trail through up to waist deep snow in some sections. This was an epic sunny day with a couple cool scrambly sections and a good challenge in the often deep sticky snow! Porcupine Ridge (2087m) Porcupine Tower (2120m) Crown Peak West (2266m) Crown Peak East (2283m)

  • Mount Head via East Ridge (2782m)

November 16, 2024 One of my favourite expeditions yet doing the more remote Mount Head in K-country with my homie Scott. We climbed the East Ridge. The wind was insane and the route had some great scrambling both climbing up and downclimbing. The summit views were insane as you can see from the pics! Lots of tedious terrain on the descent through rubble and thick bushwacking while sidehilling through the forest. The approach and return trail over Grass Pass was a super chill horsetrail and had really sweet views of Mount Head and Holy Cross. Stats: 1521m gain and about 21km. Photos by me and Scott. Check out Scott’s Insta360 shot from the summit🏔️

  • Mount Burke (2542m) + the North peak (2452m)

March 15, 2025 Approx. 16km and 1200m gain, 2-peak day. I love this area down Southwest of Longview AB!

  • Kent Ridge North (2914m)

+ summit of Kent Ridge Outlier (2533m) January 12, 2025 Today was an awesome group hiking day. Scott and I met up with Nick and Nate at the start of the Kent Ridge North route in Kananaskis. We got geared up in our snowshoes and followed a well-laid path up through the forest and onto the open ridge of the lower outlier peak that we would be visiting first. The light grew as we exited the trees. We had some wicked views looking back as we continued up the ridge. It wasn’t long before we were on top of the outlier, and had to switch from snowshoes to crampons to descend and traverse around a couple of flaky cliff bands. There was a fun steep section of snow to downclimb, and then we descended to the col and began the steep hike up to the summit. The snow was deep in sections at first, but eventually it was more of a rocky trudge to the summit. My watch had my altitude miscalibrated low, so I suddenly arrived on top of the mountain much sooner than expected. Scott and Nate were waiting and Nick soon came up behind me. We had some wild cloudy views on the summit and a nice summit break. The wind wasn’t too high, so I busted out my thermos of coffee to pass around while Nick pulled out his thermos of soup. Warm drinks are a welcome luxury on the mountain! After soaking in the summit vibes, we were getting a bit chilly and it was time to head down. We made quick work of the descent and I was even able to enjoy a few little glissades. On the way back up the outlier, I now chose a direct line up and over 2 steps. This was a fun and short crux of the day climbing some steep snow and pulling myself up over the sandwhiched rock layers of the cliffbands. Descending the outlier was fun and easy. I was now crampons-off, almost skiing down on my boots along our ascent path to the treeline. We passed a party ascending the outlier with their dog. Soon after, we were crossing down through the forest to the parking lot. We did 1200m gain and about 8km. Scott and I enjoyed the mountain views all the way out of Kananaskis, identifying the peaks that we have climbed and the ones we still need to climb! Photocreds in the gallery are various, but check out this awesome summit photo Scott shot with the Insta360: And here’s a couple Nate took of me climbing back up the outlier: Epic photography from Nate below! • Mountains and Lakes Tour

October 13, 2024 After an epic adventure hiking and scrambling at Lake O’Hara, Greg and I had a fun rest day planned. Greg got some tickets from work for us to take the Mountains and Lakes Tour with Brewster Bus Tours. We were back at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake after scrambling up Mount Temple the weekend before, then into Yoho to see Emerald Lake, the Natural Bridge, Takakkaw Falls and the Spiral Tunnels. So stoked on the epic photos we got on this chillest day in the mountains! We saw plenty of new mountains that we want to climb in the future. Mount Temple and Little Temple Mount Victoria Lake Louise Moraine Lake Peaks visible from Left to Right are: Little, Bowlen, Tonsa, Perren, Allen, Tuzo, Deltaform Greg enjoying the view of Mount Temple (3545m), where we were just 1 week ago, summitting in the snow. Mount Stephen alternate perspectives from Natural Bridge and from near Spiral Tunnels Michael Peak in the centre reflecting in Emerald Lake Wapta Mountain alternate perspectives from Takakkaw Falls and from Emerald Lake Mount Burgess Kicking Horse River Natural Bridge Spiral Tunnels. All 3 apparently separate trains visible are in fact the same train! Takakkaw Falls - spot the waterfall rainbow! Mount Cory and the Hole in the Wall cave! Heading back to Calgary on the bus with Mount Rundle and the Moon out the window.

  • Hiking Canmore to Banff

January 4th & 5th, 2025 Greg and I took the weekend off of mountain climbing to hike from the town of Canmore through the Goat Creek/Spray River valley to his apartment in Banff (about 28km and 700m). The main goal of our trip was to do some winter camping and test out our new tent, my new sleeping bag, and some more recent additions to the gear arsenal. It was an awesome chill weekend! We got some cool views of the Rundle peaks, Goatview Peak, Sulphur Mountain and the Sundance range behind. Check out the video I got (near the base of EEOR) of a mountain rescue team doing winter training with a helicopter!

  • Midnight Peak (2348m) to Midday Peak (2340m)
